Introduction

CleerCut is committed to protecting the privacy and security of user data. This Data Retention Policy explains how long we retain personal data and the circumstances under which data may be stored, archived, anonymized, or deleted. This policy should be read together with CleerCut's Privacy Policy.

1. Data Retention Period

Active Accounts — CleerCut retains user data for as long as an account remains active and necessary to provide platform services. This may include:

  • Account information
  • Campaign data
  • Communication history
  • Portfolio and profile information

Users may request account deletion at any time.

Closed Accounts — After an account is closed, CleerCut may retain certain data for a limited period to support:

  • Legal compliance
  • Fraud prevention
  • Dispute resolution
  • Internal record keeping

Where possible, personal data will be deleted or anonymized once it is no longer required.

Legal and Financial Records — Certain records may be retained for longer periods where required by law, including:

  • Transaction records
  • Billing information
  • Tax documentation
  • Financial compliance data

These records may be retained for the period required by applicable financial and regulatory laws.

2. Categories of Data Retained

Following account closure, CleerCut may retain limited categories of information including:

  • Account identifiers such as username and email
  • Historical campaign participation records
  • Payment and billing transaction records
  • Customer support communications
  • Security and fraud detection logs

User generated content may be retained only where necessary for contractual obligations, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

3. User Rights

Users may request access to or deletion of their personal data by contacting support. Deletion requests will be honored except where data must be retained for:

  • Legal obligations
  • Financial record keeping
  • Active disputes or investigations
  • Security or fraud prevention

Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies an individual user may be retained for analytical or platform improvement purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

CleerCut uses commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data. These safeguards may include:

  • Encryption of data in transit
  • Access controls restricting data access to authorized personnel
  • Infrastructure security monitoring
  • Fraud detection and security logging

Data may be stored using secure third party cloud infrastructure providers. CleerCut's data handling practices are designed to align with applicable data protection laws and industry standards.

5. Data Sharing

CleerCut does not sell personal data. However, data may be shared with third party service providers when necessary to operate the platform, including:

  • Payment processing providers
  • Cloud hosting infrastructure
  • Analytics or security providers

Data may also be disclosed when required by law, court order, or government request.

6. Policy Updates

CleerCut may update this Data Retention Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this document. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
