Last updated June 4, 2026

Legal agreements and policies for brands and agencies using CleerCut.

Introduction

This Fee and Payment Authorization Agreement describes how CleerCut processes payments and collects applicable fees through its platform. By submitting payment information or funding a campaign on CleerCut, you authorize CleerCut and its payment processing provider to process charges and payouts in accordance with this agreement. This agreement should be read together with CleerCut's Client Agreement, Escrow and Payment Terms, and Platform Fees and Pricing.

1. Payment Processing Provider

CleerCut uses Stripe to process payments and facilitate transfers between Clients and Creators. When you submit payment information through the platform, your financial information is securely processed and stored by Stripe. CleerCut does not store or directly process credit card or bank account information.

2. Authorization to Process Payments

By submitting payment details through CleerCut, you authorize CleerCut and its payment provider to:

  • Charge your payment method for platform subscriptions or applicable service fees
  • Process payments to fund campaigns through the escrow workflow
  • Transfer funds to Creators when campaigns are completed according to platform rules

You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

3. Fees

CleerCut may charge fees for services including platform subscriptions, campaign commissions, and optional platform features. Current pricing and fee structures are available in the Platform Fees and Pricing document and may change from time to time.

4. Payment Timing

Payments for subscriptions and platform services are processed according to the billing cycle associated with the selected plan. Campaign payments are processed through CleerCut's escrow workflow. Clients must fund the full campaign amount before the collaboration begins.

5. Failed Payments

If a payment attempt fails due to insufficient funds, expired payment methods, or other issues, CleerCut may retry the transaction, temporarily restrict platform access, or suspend certain account features until payment is successfully processed. Users are responsible for maintaining valid payment methods on file.

6. Payment Disputes

Users should contact CleerCut support before initiating payment disputes with their financial institution. Improper chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account restrictions or suspension.

7. Revocation of Authorization

Users may update or remove payment methods through their account settings. However, revoking payment authorization does not cancel existing financial obligations incurred through the platform, including active subscriptions or funded campaigns.

8. Limitation of Liability

CleerCut is not responsible for delays, errors, or failures in payment processing caused by the payment provider, banking networks, or incorrect information provided by users.

9. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
